Today is a very happy Monday! A holiday here in Mexico, so Mr. P is home with us. In fact, he & Solo-boy are taking a nap together as I write this post. I can hear the dog's heavy sleepy breathing, the sun is shining through the window onto my barefeet, and my tummy is full from a delicious cream cheese, cucumber, tomato & basil sandwich I just devoured.
Silence is golden.
Last night Mr. P took me shopping to pick out a new outfit for my birthday tomorrow. (I'll wear it next week for Stepping Out Saturday so you can see!) Then he let me sleep in today...which I couldn't because well, you know. But nevermind. It's the thought that counts.
Also? I know I've mentioned it, but my parents arrive on Saturday to visit us for 10 days! I will be taking them on a couple amazing trips (mexican riviera, anyone?), so brace yourselves for lots of new pictures from our new (used) Nikon D50 that they are bringing us!
Moving on to Me Like Monday! (Disclaimer: I have NEVER, if you can believe it, bought myself something on Etsy. Just want to make sure you understand that my "Me Like" posts are simply for the sake of drooling. Not that I can really aspire to own much of these things!)

This clever earring rack is from an Etsy shop, Mostaza Seed, owned by an old college buddy of mine. Such a cute idea! She's got some lovely items if you are into vintage and upcycled home decor. Seriously, I think she's brilliant.
Cheesecake. (Costco, I love you & I hate you.) Tomorrow night we are having a potluck with friends to celebrate my birthday. It's a win - win, I tell you. Good friends + Good food, and I don't have to cook at all! My mouth has been watering every time I open our refrigerator to see the raspberry cheesecake taunting me from the middle shelf.

Sorry for the tiny photo. You know what's awesome though? These vintage Nikes are going on Ebay for $132.99. And you know what is hilarious? The fact that I bought this exact pair for about $20 at a Nike outlet here in Guadalajara two years ago. ME LIKE! Not that I will spiff mine up and try to sell them on Ebay anytime soon, but I feel super special knowing my kicks are basically a collector's item.
Lastly, Blog love time!
I've been toying with the idea of a new blog design for awhile now. My current header Mr. P threw together in a couple hours just to get me started, never thinking I'd use it for this long. Well, it's been over six months and I still have this silly header. Which is lovely, don't get me wrong.
But, I would looooove to have a new blog design by The Freckled Nest. I've done some looking around and her portfolio makes me smile every time! Check it out & let me know what you think! Do you think her style would fit this blog? Also, any tips for deciding on a new blog design?
